You stay 5 nights in the 3 stars Hotel Park Puigcerdà. Your Hotel includes services as Spa, Massages and a whirlpool to relax after a sportive day. Your group will be guided by an English speaking local guide and followed by our minivan. Our minivan transports spare parts and could resolve smaller mechanical problems. We also offer water, isotonic drinks, bars and dried fruits for our cyclists and in case of exhaustion or pain you have the backup of the minivan to get back to the hotel.
You should be in a good physical condition as you have to climb between 1705 and 3225m daily. We adapt the level to the average of the group.
We offer some days of active holiday and the chance to disconnect totally. Within a setting of great natural beauty, cultural heritage and rich cuisine, your only concern will be to pedal and enjoy the show that we provide in the Pyrenees.
Towards the end of each stage we provide an open air picnic to complete the day’s cycling.

DAY-BY-DAY (Sunday to Thursday)
Day 1 (Sunday)
Arriving Barcelona or Girona airport and transfer to Puigcerdà, Pyrenees.
On the afternoon meet and greet at our welcome meeting and handover of your welcome pack. Renting bicycles will be delivered and adjusted to your needs.
Day 2 (Monday)
Port de Lló
Distance: 92 km
Cumulative Elevation: + 1705 m.
We leave the hotel and head towards Llivia, a beautiful village in France but with Catalan administration, a curious situation given by the famous Treaty of the Pyrenees with France.
We continue to Llo, famous for its thermal baths. This stretch is relatively easy.
From Llo we continue to the Eyne ski resort. From here we ride up the Coll de la Llosa and Coll de la Creu via by some winding roads through lush forests.
We continue to Lake Matamale and Les Angles, then down the Coll de Egat, a magnificent balcony from where we can contemplate the beauty and expanse of the valley of La Cerdanya.
We stop to eat to regain strength and then down hill back to the hotel
Day 3 (Tuesday)
Coll de la Creueta
Distance 129 km
Cumulative Elevation: + 2616 m.
Difficulty: Medium +
We leave the hotel towards Alp and climb the Collada de Tossas and then descend for 35 km. We arrive in Ribas de Fresser and head towards Campdevanol. After a few kilometers on main road we turn right in Gombren and follow a winding road through lush forests.
From the Pobla de L’Illet and we attack the famous Coll de La Creueta, a 1st category climb, home to several stages of the Tour de France.
We pass the Pla de Anyella, stop for lunch and then head downhill back to the hotel.
Day 4 (Wednesday)
Lles de Cerdanya
Distance: 78 km
Cumulative Elevation: + 1854 m.
This time we leave the hotel and head west along the valley passing Alp and Bellver de Cerdanya to Martinet via a quiet road with a small mountain pass.
We ascend the Coll de Lles, pass by Ardovol, a charming little mountain village, descend to Prullans, eat and continue on the national road back to the hotel in Puigcerdà.
Day 5 (Thursday)
Coll du Pailhères
Distance: 146 km
Cumulative Elevation: + 3225
Today we attack the mythical mountain pass, The Pailhères, often a stage of the Tour de France. This is our most difficult route but we can do it. We will leave a little earlier as we have 146 km ahead of us with a positive elevation of 3225m.
We will ride towards Porte – Puymorens, the first climb of the day, and from there to Ax Les Thermes. Shortly after leaving Ax Les Thermes is the Coll de Pailhères. On the descent we pass by Mijanes, Querigut and the Les Angles ski station. Here we stop for lunch before making our way back (mostly flat) to the hotel.
Day 6 (Friday)
Enjoy your breakfast in your hotel. Check-out and transfer to the airport if booked in addition.
You have the possibility to book additional nights in Barcelona or at Calella on the Maresme Coast where you can relax at the beach or cycle furthermore.
